91制片厂 is welcoming a provincial and national leader in health care to its academic team.

Carly Hall will be joining 91制片厂 as Dean, Health and Social Development, which offers nine programs training the next generation of healthcare and social development professionals.

鈥淐arly brings extensive experience leading curriculum development provincially and leading professional bodies nationally as the health care sector experiences rapid change. We are confident she will quickly become a valued leader to 91制片厂 students and the organization as a whole,鈥 says Dr. Andrew Hay, 91制片厂 Provost and Vice President Academic.

Hall is a Registered Nurse with a Master鈥檚 degree in Education, focusing on Leadership Studies. She has worked in post-secondary education for over 20 years, as an instructor and department chair for the Practical Nursing and Health Care Assistant programs at Camosun College in Victoria, and most recently as acting associate dean, where she was responsible for the operational leadership of the School.

While at Camosun, Hall also served as coordinator for the Centre for Health and Wellness. She spent several years developing the vision and design for this new health education building that opened in 2019. She has served as chair of Camosun鈥檚 Education Council, chair of the Canadian Association of Practical Nurse Educators, chair of the provincial HCA Articulation, and member of the Provincial PN Diploma curriculum development team. Prior to her experience in post-secondary education, Hall worked as a nurse in long term care, acute care, and for a non-profit organization.

鈥淚鈥檓 really excited to join the team at 91制片厂,鈥 Hall says. 鈥淚 look forward to working closely with the faculty, staff and students in Health and Social Development and across the college to implement Inspire, 91制片厂鈥檚 new strategic plan.鈥

Hall officially joins 91制片厂 on Aug. 8, replacing Yvonne Moritz 鈥 who will continue serving 91制片厂 in her role as Associate Vice-President Education Services.
