Who we are

Our vision as a program is much more than just playing basketball, we are developing a culture, a work hard attitude, an atmosphere that will give each player the opportunity to thrive. We want to create strong lasting relationships within our teams, within our college, and within our communities.

We are a group of basketball enthusiasts with a long history of coaching, fundraising for and promoting the game of basketball in the Okanagan. We believe that there is a void in our basketball community and in response, we formed the Kelowna College Basketball Society for the express purpose of reestablishing a men’s and women’s basketball program at 91ÖÆƬ³§. For more than a year we worked with the College to create an agreement with the newly formed society. We work to develop long term relationships throughout our community to establish fundraising opportunities for a stable program. We are community minded, community driven and passionate about basketball and kids and their future. We are motivated to motivate our youth.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Kelowna College Basketball Society to create a sustainable men’s and women’s basketball program at 91ÖÆƬ³§ in cooperation with 91ÖÆƬ³§ and supported by the community. In doing so we will provide an opportunity for more young men and women to excel at a sport they love while pursuing further education. Within this basketball program it is our intention to educate and empower our players with confidence, commitment and integrity, so they can live a productive, successful life. Our program will emphasize respect for teammates, peers and community by instilling a code of ethics built on honesty, integrity, responsibility and teamwork. It is our intention to create an environment where every player in our program can reach their full potential, develop their talents and skills in their game and more importantly in life.

Our Vision

Our vision as a program is much more than just playing basketball, we are developing a culture, a work hard attitude, an atmosphere that will give each player the opportunity to thrive. We want to create strong lasting relationships within our teams, within our college, and within our communities.
